The Australian Airports Association (AAA) takes an active role in policy matters and advocacy on behalf of the industry. This is achieved by monitoring proposed legislation and regulations, as well as making submissions and advocating on behalf of industry where appropriate.
The AAA regularly makes submissions to inquiries or issues papers on critical issues that impact our industry by the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development, the Office of Transport Security, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, the Productivity Commission, select State-based authorities and ad hoc Parliamentary Inquiries.
The AAA also generates publications to push issues of concern to industry. Publications include the 'Aviation Policy Priorities for South Australia', 'Policy Priorities' paper in the lead up the 2013 Commonwealth election and an 'Issues Paper' on proposed industry changes to the Manual of Standards Part 139.
